Tutorials in Climate Change: Basic Version
The Basic Version of Tutorials in Climate Change is designed to enhance conceptual understanding of the scientific principles underlying climate change. Across 10 tutorials, 5 key concept areas are addressed:
- Earth’s atmosphere,
- the difference between weather and climate,
- climate as a system,
- the carbon cycle and
- the greenhouse effect.
Each tutorial can be implemented independently to enrich teaching and learning about climate change. They were specifically developed for upper secondary and entry-level university physics classrooms.
You can find details about the structure of the Tutorials in Climate Change, insights from physics education research that informed their design, ideas for their implementation, and evidence of their effectiveness here.
