On February 26, 2024, the ENGAGING-Team from the University of Innsbruck conducted a professional development workshop at the Pluslucis-Fortbildungswoche at University of Vienna. We presented our tutorials addressing conceptual understanding and a preview on critical thinking tutorials. Background information on student conceptions, learning goals, possibilities for implementation and comments from teachers were discussed in a fruitful atmosphere with physics and chemistry teachers from all over Austria. The participants’ enthusiasm encourages us to take the next steps: optimize the tutorials, translating them, and organizing additional professional development opportunities.
